Milk glass is something I really did not have much of a thought about until recently. Then I started seeing pictures of it arranged and I started to fall in love.
But whoa to find a true piece of milk glass it is a bit pricey when you want to make an instant collection! I did some research on Wikipedia and found out that milk glass is not always white! It can also be blue, pink, yellow, brown, and black! Who knew!
I decided that if I wanted to do a kitchen transformation with milk glass then off to the Thrift store I would have to go and not just look for some milk glass {I doubt I will find any} but find items that I could make my own milk glass! {Now there’s a crafty idea!}
My score of the day was a whooping $10.00 for all of these {now don’t get excited I know they are not something great to look at right now!}
I then used some of my trusty Rust-Oleum White High Gloss spray paint and painted away. The secret is patience. {Hard for me when I get an idea. I want the result not the process} Make sure you spray evenly and let each coat dry. The amount of coats I used was different according to the piece I had. The clear items needed less than some of the colored ones. After they were completely dry and I was satisfied with the coverage I wanted more shine so I then spayed on a coat of Rust-Oleum Clear Gloss and allowed them to dry. What do you think?
I am happy with the results! And now I have to make my kitchen transformation! {That I will post later!}
What is the latest project you did using spray paint? I have to say I think I am addicted to spray paint projects. I have been waiting for the rain to stop to repaint my outdoor chairs! I discovered that Rust-Oleum has some inspiration on their site too, check it out here!
Until next time,
Enjoy your day, your family, and your home ❤
They turned out beautifully! I love this idea! 🙂
