Summer Wreath

Up until last year I did not even have a wreath on my front door – expect at Christmas. I am not sure why but now I feel my front door is naked without one. I had made an awesome wreath displaying the words “I Do” for my daughter-in-laws Bridal Showers {yes I did type plural! Both sons getting married within 3 weeks of one another!} Check out the “I Do” wreath  here!

So now it is summer and I just had to have a wreath for the summer; which I had never had before. I had thought of buying one. I had searched Pinterest and pinned wreaths I loved. Then I find a wreath thrown out in the trash one day while taking a walk around my neighborhood! I took it home and could see why it was thrown out. 😦

Then I thought why not go to the Dollar Tree and see what I can find that speaks summer to me and spruce it up! So I did! {While there I ran into a school mate and we talked about our favorite love – Walt Disney World {We are friends on Facebook and both are annual passholders so we spent a while catching up.}

Once I was back on track I bought a cute pair of little girl flip-flops, a child’s pair of sunglasses, bubbles in a container shaped like an ice cream cone {which I poured out the bubbles} and a few flowers, and of course a ribbon for a patriotic summer!

I then headed upstairs to my craft room and armed myself with my trusty hot glue gun and went to gluing away! In less than 10 minutes I had a new wreath to don my front door with for the summer!

So here it is! What do you think? Not the best wreath I have ever made but an inexpensive one at only $6! {I may even add a few more things when July rolls around}.

Do you have a great wreath you would like to share? I sure would love to see it! Follow me on Pinterest too as I pin some great wreaths I find and a whole lot more!

Until next time,

Enjoy your day, your family, and your home ❤
