Google May Think Your Blog Comment is Spam?!

Today I have to admit is a little sad for me. Why? Today I read a very interesting article from Moms Make Money Blog. I found this blog through a Linky party and was actually shocked that Google could consider not only comments I leave on your blog, but comments YOU leave me on my blog as spam!

Why Google thinks your blog comments are spam!

Why is that important? Well if they see my blog or yours as spam they will move our blogs down the rankings or even de-list them from Search Engine results! Ugh! This makes me sad because I had to go back through all my comments and edit all the ones where my bloggy friends put a link in them! I personally always ask you for a link to your linky party or a project you want me to see so this is frustrating to me. I also like others to see your blog so they can visit you as well. So this makes me sad :(

So just how do we not get considered as spam by Google?

I am no expert but Deby at Moms Make Money blog does a really really great job at explaining all this techy stuff. So check it out here. Before you go I think the only way for me to see your linky party or new project is on Facebook.

So if you have a party you want me to join or a project to consider for WoW Wednesday then just head on over to Facebook and like my page and tell me about it. BTW I always like your Facebook page right back! I think that is only fair! Now go – go see what Deby has to say about how NOT to get considered spam by Google here.

Until next time,

Enjoy your day, your family, and your home! <3

Apps for Beating Crowds While Traveling

Good morning and Happy Monday or should I say Happy Money Monday to you! If where you live is anything like the weather here it has been hot and rainy for you too then! But none the less we all want a little summer vacation right!

Today is Money Monday on the blog and if you are new {welcome}! Each Monday I bring you tips or tricks to help save you some cha-ching {aka money}!

Today we are going to talk about apps. I love getting apps but I don’t just love apps I love the ones which make my life more productive. How about an app that gets you on the fastest route to your destination? Who doesn’t need that when traveling or even just doing day-to-day things right? Another app much-needed in my world {especially when traveling} is where to find the cheapest gas, but what about an app that calculates just how far your car will go on the gas you have in it currently!

I am especially going to check out an app for my daughter who leaves for college in a few weeks which will with one touch put in a call to local police, a fire department, or ambulance! That’s a great app for traveling right?!

apps the make travel easier!

If you need help before you even get out the door there is an app which creates lists of what to pack and provides a set of reminders specific to the type of trip you have planned no matter if it’s a weekend trip or a long summer vaca! It can also remind you to buy travel insurance, lube up with sun protection, or just pack extra socks! {Watch our Siri this app may take over here!}

Lastly the funniest app is one which will give you info on public bathrooms! {Well maybe that won’t be so funny when you really need to know where one is right! :) }

Check out all these apps and more which can help your travel plans or even help you make travel plans on this great article from MSN Money here!

Want to see other Money Monday posts? {Last week was How to save money when buying meat at the grocery store!} Check them all out here!

I hope your week is great and this week I am looking for those who are on Twitter who want to connect. Follow me here and I will follow you back!

DIY Bridal Shower or Wedding Gift {Too Cute}

Well we have made it! Another week! Today before I bring you my project I want to wish my new daughter-n-law a Happy Birthday!!! {If you are not aware both of my sons just got married in the last 7 weeks! whew!}

So today I find it fitting to show you a gift I made for her and my son for her bridal shower. It could also be made as a wedding gift as well.

Spooning Since...Love it

Now on to how I made this adorable framed picture…

First I found an old picture frame I had in my garage stash {this is where I keep all my goodies for decorating each season.} Then I spray painted it { see my DIY Milk Glass spray paint here}. You need a picture frame which has it’s back on it still. I bought spoons at the Dollar Tree and the paper and letters were from the scrapbooking section at Hobby Lobby.

I then used my paper cutter and cut the scrapbooking paper to the size of the frame back.

I then laid down paper under the frame back so I did not get too much spray adhesive on my workstation. I sprayed the frame backing with Elmer’s Spray Adhesive and placed the scrapbooking paper over the adhesive.

I then put the letters on {self sticking} and hot glued the spoons onto the board! It was simple, fast, and great gift for them to display in their new home!

Here it is again! What do you think? I love it and they did too!

A Girl Has to Have Some Shoes-Even These!

The Adored Home

Today is my birthday so my family asked me what I wanted and my reply was Disney Gift Cards or Disney Shoes! Well not exactly shoes I can wear, but shoes I will be able to display in my new shoe room {I promise one day I will finish this shoe room and give you a look at it, but here is a sneak peek at it as it is now.}

The Adored Home

Now I know you may think I am a little crazy for wanting Disney Gift cards at my age, but I am an Annual Passholder at Walt Disney World so for me having Disney Gift cards to spend while in the parks on food and merchandise is actually a perfect gift. Or I could use them at the Disney Store online to purchase these new loves! Disney shoes! Well their official name is the Disney’s Runway Shoe Ornament Collection by artist Cody Reynolds.

I first came across these in an article on the Disney Blog and I have been waiting for them to come available for purchase. According to the blog the shoes each measures approximately 3 inches long by 3.5 inches tall {my perfect size lol.}  All of them contain a removable ribbon, which is perfect for my shoe room so I can display them year round, or reattach the ribbons if I decide to do a Disney Shoe tree for Christmas {I usually have about 7 themed trees in my home}!

There are Disney princess shoes for Cinderella, Ariel, and Snow White {to name a few} and even shoes for our beloved Minnie, Daisy, Tinker bell and Mary Poppins. But for some reason I am really in love with the villain shoes. I am really more of a princess fan but I am wanting to get all of the villain shoes faster than some of the princesses {gasp I know}!

I thought I would share with you my favorites that I hope to get for my birthday

And one last one {because I could say all 19 in the collection are my favorites lol}

So needless to say I really really do need Disney Gift cards for my birthday lol! You can check out all of these adorable shoes here in case you may want some new shoes too :)
